Description

Looking for a pioneer experience with modern comforts in the Great Smoky Mountains? Nestled in the historic Timber Ridge community, Sheriff’s Cabin in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, welcomes your romantic retreat, birthday vacation, or holiday getaway in the Smokies. Lovingly rebuilt after the 2016 Gatlinburg wildfires, this studio-style, 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom cabin with Smoky Mountain views offers a peaceful setting in the trees, adorable Appalachian decor, a mood-setting fireplace, a bubbly hot tub, a full kitchen, and convenient extras.

Reclaimed from a mid-1800s, hand-hewn cabin on a Tyler County farm in West Virginia and restored in lovely Gatlinburg in 2021, you’ll appreciate the great attention to detail — with 14-foot walls of chinked white oak logs with dovetail notching, gorgeous exposed beams overhead, and a classic metal roof that makes raindrops sing. Originally an early settler home, this beautiful revived and modernized cabin was featured on the Magnolia Network by the Barnwood Builders (S14, E2: "Smoky Mountain Magic" + S16, E3: "Barnwood Living Pavilion"), detailing how the massive logs were painstakingly recorded for accurate reconstruction of this authentic log cabin.

Along with soaking in the hot tub, reading fireside, sipping coffee with mountain views, and lounging in front of the big screen smart TV, you’ll be conveniently located just off The Spur — just 4 miles from downtown Gatlinburg and under 6 miles from the heart of Pigeon Forge. Play at Parkway attractions, shops, eateries, and events between unwinding on the L-shaped deck, kicking back on the sofas, or drifting to dreamland in the king bed.

In total, you'll have 425 square feet of space all to yourself, more than your average hotel room! This single-level, open-concept, 2-person cabin rental in Gatlinburg also boasts a stacked washer/dryer, free Wi-Fi, a charcoal grill, paved parking, and keyless entry.

Living Room
Get cozy in front of the gas log fireplace beautifully encased in stonework. With a good book, it’s the perfect setting for great memories. Windows around the room showcase the towering trees and the Great Smoky Mountains. There’s a 50-inch smart TV (Samsung) for streaming favorite shows and movies at your Gatlinburg cabin. And the sofa reclines for even more relaxation while celebrating quality time together, a birthday, an anniversary, a spontaneous weekend, Christmastime, or even Halloween in the Smoky Mountains!

Kitchen
Ready for homemade meals or delicious leftovers from local restaurants? Head to the fully equipped kitchen at your studio-style cabin in Gatlinburg, TN. Keep ingredients and treats fresh in the refrigerator. Cook and bake with the electric range and overhead microwave. Drip your favorite coffee with the coffeemaker or brew herbal teas with the kettle. You’ll also have a classic farm-style porcelain sink, basic pots, pans, and dishware, plus a handy dishwasher to help clean up!

Dining Area
Serve specialty pies and calzones from Pizzeria of Gatlinburg or set out your grandma’s creamy casserole at the dining table. Your Gatlinburg cabin rental is great for enjoying mealtimes together. Plus, you can clear the space for crafts, cards, board games, or laptop time between dining on your wonderful Smoky Mountain getaway.

Studio Bedroom
Whether you’re visiting Gatlinburg alone or with your partner, this open-concept Smoky Mountain cabin is a top pick. Steps from the living area, you’ll spot the king-size bed. With a studio design, everyone can stay connected. Plus, glass panels and windows let in natural light and outdoor views while lounging around the cabin during the day. And you'll enjoy the benefits of the ceiling fan in warmer months.

Accommodations allow up to 2 guests to stay at this vacation rental in the Smokies. You'll have a clothes closet for storage. And there’s a full private bathroom to get ready for bed or the day ahead.

Outdoor Spaces
When you’re not enjoying hikes to cascading waterfalls, ziplining through the treetops, or remarkable sky tours in the Smokies, retreat to the fantastic outdoor spaces at your Gatlinburg cabin rental. Mountain views adorn the inviting L-shaped deck, where you can slip into the bubbling hot tub, relax in the rockers, or enjoy a beverage at the bistro table morning, noon, or night!

Relaxed outdoor living is what your Smoky Mountain rental cabin aims to deliver. You can listen to raindrops pitter-patter on cloudy days with a metal roof. Incredible wildlife can be seen wandering through the property. And colorful sunsets offer the perfect setting for cookouts with the charcoal, picnic-style grill.

For travel notes, roads leading to the semi-private log cabin plus the steep driveway are paved. There’s enough parking space for 1 vehicle at the top of the driveway (AWD/4WD recommended). And there are only 4 steps up to reach the porch, meaning easier unpacking and loading.

Other Amenities

Another homey convenience at your Gatlinburg hideaway is a stacked washer and dryer to stay on top of laundry, removing a chore from your to-do list when you return home.
