Cozy up in your Hand Hewn Hideaway, a 4-bedroom Gatlinburg cabin rental with 3.5 bathrooms, space to sleep up to 16 guests, 2,200 square feet of space, the comforts of home, cozy log cabin interiors, modern amenities, entertainment, and more. Sitting on 2 ½ acres of land, this Gatlinburg getaway is 3 levels of family fun in the Great Smoky Mountains!
When you arrive, you won’t miss the inviting front porch decked out with picnic tables, swings, and a relaxing rocking chair. A hammock off to the side is the place for an afternoon nap, and the firepit is perfect for roasting s’mores. A small pond a few steps down is a nice place to relax. You’ll even have peeks of mountain views through the trees.
Inside your Smoky Mountain cabin rental, enjoy a classic log cabin aesthetic with updated furnishings and high-end finishes - from a big screen TV and fully equipped kitchen to a wood-burning fireplace and a nice mix of bedding. Whip up meals in the full kitchen before gathering around the dining table. Or take your plate outside for some fresh air!
You’ll also have a game room, air hockey, a pool table, a steaming hot tub, a grill for barbecues, foosball, a washer/dryer, decorations during Christmas, Wi-Fi, and a serene setting. When you aren’t enjoying your Tennessee retreat, you’ll be shopping along the Parkway, playing in Pigeon Forge, visiting Dollywood on your family vacation, spotting black bears in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, skiing at Ober Gatlinburg, or shopping at the Tanger Outlets in Sevierville.
Living Room
The entry level boasts a beautifully decorated living room with sofas, a leather chair, a wood-burning fireplace, and a 65-inch flatscreen TV. Gather here after a long day to watch movies and shows, sip local moonshine, stay warm in front of the wood-burning fireplace, and laugh about the day’s adventures.
Kitchen
Just around the corner from the living room, the fully equipped kitchen is perfect for cooking for the whole family or your group. It features granite countertops with tons of counter space, stainless steel appliances, a deep farmhouse sink, dishes and glasses, utensils, cooking tools, and pots and pans. If you aren’t up for cooking, just use this space to reheat leftovers from delicious meals in town.
Dining Area
With a dining table just off the kitchen, you can easily grab second helpings. Set the dining table for holiday meals or birthday dinners - or just order pizza for an easy night. The dining table can seat up to 10 guests, with seating for 3 more at the breakfast counter.
When you aren’t dining, clear the table and use the space for board games, card games, puzzles, crafts, scrapbooking, homeschooling, catching up on work during a long stay, and more.
Bedrooms
Retreat to the peaceful bedrooms after busy days in town. The primary suite on the entry level boasts a king-size bed, a flatscreen TV, deck access, and a fantastic en-suite bathroom. It offers copper double sinks, a standing shower, and a copper bathtub for soaking. Just off the primary suite is a nursery with a crib, perfect for families traveling with a little one.
Two bedrooms are located upstairs. One has a king-size bed, flatscreen TV, and en-suite bathroom with a jetted tub, standing shower, and river stone floor. The second bedroom here offers a queen-size bed. There is also a third bathroom downstairs with a standing shower.
Outdoor Spaces
The upper and side deck are accessible from the main level. The upper deck is on top of the front porch and opens up to forest views with 4 rocking chairs, a swing, and a cute table for small bites. The hot tub is located on the side deck and also features rustic patio furniture - including a swing, a bench, and chairs. Just outside on the lower level you’ll find the front porch with swings, picnic tables, and rocking chairs.
Family Room
The bonus family room on the lower level has sofas (one is a sleeper sofa), a 65-inch TV, board games, air hockey, foosball, and pool! The kids’ room is here as well, and features twin-over-twin bunk beds the kids will love.

Skip the office check-in and get right to relaxing with keyless entry on your Smoky Mountain vacation! It’s one of those conveniences that gets your Gatlinburg vacation started off on the right foot.
Local Fun
If you can peel yourself away from the cabin, you’ll find plenty to do in the area. Downtown Gatlinburg is about a 10-minute drive without traffic, and an entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is just 4 miles away. Cataract Falls is 6 miles away, Dollywood is 9 miles away, and The Island - home to The Escape Game and The Great Smoky Mountain Wheel - is just 8 miles away. Wears Valley has some nice ziplining and is a nice place to drive.

Just down the road in Pigeon Forge, The Island is home to The Great Smoky Mountain Wheel, Margaritaville, boutique shops, The Escape Game, and so much more.
Ober Gatlinburg
Ski, snowboard, wind through a maze, ride the alpine slide, shop, dine, and go indoor ice skating year-round at this classic Gatlinburg attraction!

How and when do I pay?
- If your arrival date is more than 120 days out:
- - 15% of the balance is due now, half of the balance is due at 120 days and the remainder is due 30 days prior to check-in.
- If your arrival date is between 31 and 120 days out:
- - Half of the total is due now and the remainder is due 30 days prior to check-in.
- If your arrival date is less than or equal to 30 days out:
- - Your entire balance is due at booking.

Our Property Protection Plans cover unintentional damages to your cabin during your stay and different levels of protection.

What do additional fees cover?
We want to ensure each guest has a clean, comfortable place to stay. The additional fees cover property cleanup of your cabin once you’ve checked out, reservation fee, taxes and service fee.

What is your cancellation policy?
4+ bedroom cabins: No cancellation or change of cabin or dates within 6 months of stay.
1-3 bedroom cabins: No cancellation or change of cabin or dates within 3 months of stay.
CFY offers cancellation protection that allows you to cancel your reservation at any point prior to initial use of your key code on your arrival date. Please see details when checking out.
Do you have any pet friendly cabins?
Yes, we have quite a few options for pet-friendly vacations! Check out our wide selection online!
What amenities are offered in all your cabins?
Each of our cabins has a fully equipped kitchen (refrigerator, stove/oven, and varying countertop appliances), shared living spaces for guests, a dining table and/or breakfast bar for in-cabin dining, and cozy bedrooms. Most feature wireless internet, flatscreen TVs, washers and dryers, decks with wooded or mountain views, and some games or game tables! You can browse by amenity online to find the perfect fit.
What should we bring from home?
You’ll supply your own food, drinks, toiletries, charcoal and lighter fluid (for charcoal grills), propane (for gas grills; check cabin before purchasing), and any other movies or games you’d enjoy on vacation!
We’ll give you a starter supply of:
- 1 trash bag per container
- 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom
- 1 bar of soap per bathroom
Do you provide bedding and towels?
We provide all linens, along with 1 towel and 1 washcloth per person (based on property sleeps advertised). Many of our cabins have washers and dryers, so it is easy to use only the towels we provide. If your cabin does not have a washer/dryer, you may want to bring extra towels from home.

Do all your cabins have Wi-Fi?
Most of our cabins offer high-speed wireless internet, but not all. Please check the amenities list and description, or check with your Vacation Specialist when booking!
What is the check-in and checkout process?
Check-in is easy with Cabins for YOU. Each cabin has an electronic keypad, and we’ll supply the unique code for your cabin 2 days before check-in. No keys, no going to an office. You’ll use this to unlock your cabin each time you enter. Checkout is equally simple. Just shut the door behind you as you leave and it will automatically lock!
Check-in/out times: Check-in starts at 4 p.m. EST with guaranteed check-in at 6 p.m. Checkout time is 10 a.m. EST. We can’t guarantee early check-ins or late checkouts, but you can check with your Vacation Specialist. Hourly fees apply for early check-ins.
Before leaving, please be sure to:
- Place towels and washcloths in the bathtub (We’ll take care of bedding!)
- Put trash in proper containers
- Clean used dishes
- Clean any large messes made during stay
- Lock the door behind you
How/when do I get directions to my cabin?
Once you’ve made your reservation, you’ll receive a confirmation email that will have the directions to your cabin rental.

What is your policy for hot tub, swim spa, and pool use?
Please report any issues regarding cleanliness of hot tubs, swim spas, or pools upon arrival. We will do our best to resolve them right away. To keep these spaces clean and serviceable for all guests, please shower off before using and refrain from using any lotions or oils. If issues are reported more than 24 hours after arrival, any additional cleaning fees will be charged to current guest.
CFY Quality Rating System
Bronze
Overall outdated and/or has worn out elements. There is little to no coordination in furniture and decor. Most furniture items are of lower quality such as cloth couches, laminate countertops, and particle board cabinets.

Gold
Good quality accommodations. These properties are high quality, but all elements might not be considered luxury in nature. There might be more wear on furniture, deck/exterior, etc. TVs are flat screen, but might not be the newest in quality. Might have stone countertops with updated appliances that aren’t stainless steel. These properties have some elements of the Platinum level, but elements are either slightly outdated, worn, or not as high quality.
Platinum
Luxury accommodations. All elements are of high quality, design, and are up-to-date. Consistent furniture and decor in each room. Unique touches such as stone designs, barnwood/shiplap, full log pillars are often found in these properties.
