Visitors that come to Gatlinburg often ask themselves – what will I do? After you spend a few days exploring downtown, experiencing the attractions and taking in the beauty of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, you may be craving a bit of routine, a lot fun and maybe a little exercise. The Gatlinburg Community Center is an all-purpose activity center that is open to anyone who wishes to visit. Offering tennis, Frisbee golf, swimming, a skate park, exercise classes and more, this 52,000 square foot facility is a great place to escape the heat and break up your vacation routine.
During Gatlinburg’s hot summer months, a dip in the swimming pool is a great way to cool off and also great entertainment for the kids. During the summer months, the indoor pool offers water exercise classes and swim lessons for low, affordable prices. Offering group rates and discounts, a day at the Gatlinburg Community Center can be a great way for a large group or youth retreat to spend an afternoon. For one time admission, adults are $2.00 and children ages 4-12 are $1.50.

If you have a teenage son, chances are that he’d enjoy a trip to the Community Center skate park. All skaters in the skate park are required to wear an approved helmet and extra care is taken to make sure all visitors observe the fun and lighthearted spirit of the Center. Prices are $2.00 daily and $5.00 for one month if you and your family are spending a long vacation to Gatlinburg and wish to visit the skate park again.
Many active people miss the opportunity to exercise and work out on vacation simply because they do not know they have options! To maintain your gym routine and continue feeling your best on your whole vacation, visit the ToneZone in the Community Center. An all-purpose gym, the facility is equipped with all the fitness equipment you would see in your gym at home. For those that enjoy a guided workout, the Community Center offers Aerobex, a fitness class designed to work out people of all ages and fitness levels. The daily cost is $3.00 and classes are held at 9:00AM-10:00AM on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Are you and your family ready for a little friendly competition? The Gatlinburg Community Center offers a bowling center and four racquetball courts that provide lots of fun and excitement to its visitors. The bowling center is equipped with eight-lanes that are perfect for large groups or just your small family. The bowling center even offers cosmic bowling, decking the center out in black lights and glow in the dark fun for everyone. The racquetball court is perfect to get a little winded and have a lot of fun sparring back and forth with your friends and family. Offering tournaments and leagues to join, the Community Center can also be a great place to go to sit back and watch the pros compete!
