The Great Smoky Arts and Crafts Community is an important part of Gatlinburg’s culture and history. The artists in the community showcase their work year-round, but they also host a number of events throughout the year in order to bring in even more visitors. This spring, the Great Smoky Arts and Crafts Community will host the Wine, Dine, and Art Crawl in Gatlinburg. On April 10, 2015, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., you can tour the Great Smoky Arts and Crafts Community on a private, guided tour of participating galleries. Try hors d’oeuvres from local restaurants and wines from local wineries as you check out the beautiful art. It’s an exciting event and great night, and it’s for guests 21 and over.
Admission is $50 and includes hors d’oeuvres and wine sampling throughout the evening. As you browse the galleries, meet the artists behind the work. They’ll likely be happy to tell you about how they got started, what inspires them, and anything else you may want to know about their art! You may even find some great pieces to take home, adding something unique and one-of-a-kind to your collection.
About the Great Smoky Arts and Crafts Community
An 11-mile loop of artisans in Gatlinburg, the Great Smoky Arts and Crafts Community is the largest group of independent artisans in North America. Year-round, the artists’ galleries are open for guests to browse and buy pottery, jewelry, quilts, leather goods, wood carvings, furniture, brooms, wearable art, photography, paintings, baskets, candles, jams, treats, and much more. There are also several cafes and restaurants, along with an old-time soda shoppe – all great for grabbing a snack during your day along the loop.
After the Wine, Dine and Art Crawl in Gatlinburg, you will want a place to relax and unwind (or enjoy a bottle from a local winery). We have a wide selection of cabins available, from 1-2 bedroom cabins to large-group cabins. We also have luxury cabins if you want to splurge and pamper yourself, or budget-friendly cabins if you want a great deal! Our cabins offer a variety of amenities to meet almost any need or want, including hot tubs, indoor jetted tubs, fully-equipped kitchens, big screen TVs, theater rooms, private pools, game tables, and spacious master suites.
