2015 Smoky Mountain Tunes and Tales
After a 1,000-plus signature petition, the 10th annual Smoky Mountain Tunes & Tales is back on in the city of Gatlinburg! The Gatlinburg City Commission had thought to cancel this event for 2015, but its popularity in years past with locals and visitors alike was able to override their decision. And that’s great news if you’re planning to visit the Smokies this summer!
What Is It?
Smoky Mountain Tunes & Tales is a popular street performance held in downtown Gatlinburg. The summer-long event will begin June 12, 2015, and will continue daily until August 1. So, no matter when you’re planning your Smoky Mountain summer vacation, you’ll be able to catch this exciting Gatlinburg tradition.
The performance itself features costumed musical performers, storytellers, and artisans portraying characters from time periods as far back as the 19th century. You and your family will get the chance to interact with and learn from these performers and enjoy one-of-a-kind family-friendly entertainment.

Everywhere! The best feature of this seven-week show is that it’s perfectly accessible from the street. And they will transform the sidewalks to a stage as they disperse along the Parkway to share their various personalities and exciting performances. They will sing songs and tell fascinating stories, making your Smoky Mountain evening lively, educational, and lots of fun!
