Description

Time to get away from it all at Mountain Hibernation, a charming 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom, semi-private cabin for 4 with everything you need to “hibernate” in your private oasis in the Great Smoky Mountains. Spend days soaking up lovely mountain views, unwinding in front of the flatscreen TV, and inhaling some fresh air on your private wraparound deck. If you’re looking for a romantic escape or just want a few quiet days with family or a few friends, this Pigeon Forge retreat is a great pick.

In the living room, high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows let in lots of natural light and frame mountain and tree-studded views. Here you can curl up on the sofa in front of the fireplace, bust out the board games to play at the table, or just stay warm by the stacked-stone fireplace. Just steps away, the fully equipped kitchen features a table for 4, full-size appliances, and plenty of dishes, glassware, utensils, and tools to make in-cabin meals easy.

Ready to reconnect with nature? Enjoy a drink in the rocking chairs, read a good book on the porch swing, or sit down for a meal or your morning coffee at the table on the deck. At night, climb into the soothing hot tub to unwind — while watching shows on the outdoor TV! Then head back inside to slip into your king-size bed. The cabin even boasts arcade games for some fun plus Blu-ray and DVD players for movie nights at the cabin. So stock up on some groceries, bring your favorite movies, and settle in for a top-notch vacation at Mountain Hibernation!

Living Room
Enjoy all the comforts of home plus beautiful mountain views in the cozy living space at Mountain Hibernation. Floor-to-ceiling windows create an open-to-nature feel throughout the room, brand-new carpet presents a fresh style, and the stacked-stone gas fireplace adds a touch of elegance. Plop on the sofa (doubles as a queen sleeper) with a big bowl of buttery popcorn to go with an evening film on the big screen TV — DVD and Blu-ray players included! On chilly nights, light a toasty fire, grab a mug of hot cocoa, and snuggle up in the arm chair with your favorite novel. Looking for extra entertainment? Set out a board game on the coffee table and prepare for victory! There’s also a convenient ceiling fan overhead to keep excited players cool at all times.

Kitchen
Keeping with the open concept, the fully equipped kitchen lies mere feet from the living space, meaning snacks and drinks are always close at hand. New all-black appliances are sleek against the traditional mountain décor. With a pleasant design plus mountain views well within sight, preparing meals will not be a chore but surely a delight. Stock the fridge with fresh ingredients for in-cabin meals, brew a Colombian blend in the coffeemaker, brown bagels in the toaster, cook secret recipes on the stove, bake sweet treats in the oven, and load the dishwasher before checking out the night life in town.

Dining Area
Central to the kitchen is the dining area with a round table for 4 and a charming chandelier overhead. This space is perfect for enjoying hearty meals, playing card games with friends, preparing arts and crafts for the kiddos, or planning the day’s activities, such as a hike through the most visited national park in the United States or a shopping spree in nearby Gatlinburg.

Bedroom | Studio Style
Boasting a studio-style bedroom, Mountain Hibernation presents a king-size bed, end tables with reading lamps, and a 60-game arcade unit. Packed with classics and newer favorites, the table-top Multicade offers endless fun for those looking to challenge the highest scores. With the best view of the vaulted ceiling’s exposed wood beams plus enchanting views of the trees, mountains, and sky, this space is a wonder to wake up to. Oh, and the living room’s big screen TV is well within sight, so you can watch a feature film from bed. Need extra sleeping accommodations? The queen sleeper sofa in the living room is ready and waiting.

Outdoor Spaces
When you arrive at Mountain Hibernation, pull up the flat, paved driveway to the paved parking area for 2 vehicles. With only 3 steps into the semi-private home, unpacking and loading the cars will be a breeze. Once settled, grab a seat in a cushioned rocking chair or on the porch swing and take a few minutes to really soak in the gorgeous Smoky Mountain views. In fact, this would be the perfect time to snap a few selfies. As evening sets, enjoy sips at the table for 2, and later, take a dip in the soothing hot tub with a comedy show on the outdoor flatscreen TV!

Other Amenities
What else? Only a vital part of today’s society: wireless internet. Yep, Mountain Hibernation wouldn’t be complete without a way to contact the outside world…every once in a while. Check emails with ease, post trip videos to social media, and explore local events listed on the Cabins for YOU blog.
