Located less than 15 minutes from the heart of downtown Gatlinburg, the Mountain Shadows Resort in the Great Smoky Mountains keeps you close to it all. In a short drive, you can be wandering the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community, exploring the oceans and seas at Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, or watching a tournament at Rocky Top Sports World. Everything is at your fingertips when you stay in a lovely cabin in Mountain Shadows Resort.
If you want to get out of the cabin and check out the area, head to the Parkway to see all the family friendly attractions, get a bite to eat, do some sightseeing, or shop a bit. Along with favorites like the aquarium, you can play miniature golf, eat an Ogle Dog at Fannie Farkle’s, ride go karts, get an airbrush t-shirt, find a beautiful wedding dress at one of the local shops, get an old-time photo taken, or get a giant chocolate-covered strawberry from Kilwin’s. The Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community, just down the road, is home to artists and craftsmen showcasing and selling pottery, leather goods, wood carvings, jewelry, photographs, paintings, birdhouses, and so much more.
