Springfest in

During this time the Great Smoky Arts and Crafts Community hosts an annual Easter Arts and Crafts show and have homemade crafts displayed. On Easter morning, April 8, 2007, the 10th annual Easter Sunrise Service will be held on the mountain top. Free tram rides will be available starting at 5:45 am and will continue every 15 minutes until the service begins. If you prefer to drive there will be free parking at the resort. Ober Gatlinburg Restaurant.
If you like barbeque then you should go on Thursday, April 19, 2007. Downtown Parkway will be filled with vendors from all over the Southeast. You will be able to sample the different vendors sauces on ribs and wings. There will be all different types of entertainment along the streets also. So roll up your sleeves and jump in.
On April 23 through April 29 the 57th Annual Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage will be taking place. If you enjoy hiking or if you just love nature, then this could be an event for you. It is hosted by the Tennessee Botany Department and the Gatlinburg Garden Club. It is a seven day program offering over 100 different types of exhibitions, lectures, activities, hikes and more. Don’t miss out on these spring festivities in the Smokies.
If you’re Scottish and want to celebrate with others of the same heritage then you should visit between May 18- May 20. There will be a parade held on the 18th and you can even join in if you would like. On the 19th and 20th competitions take place. You could participate in a bagpipe or dancing competition, whiskey tasting, dog demonstration and many other things. All of these things are family oriented and benefit the Sevier County Arts Council.
