(0)Celebrate the fabulous fall season with dining and dancing at one of Gatlinburg’s favorite events – Gatlinburg’s Taste of Autumn. Each fall, the City of Gatlinburg invites locals and visitors to see what autumn in the Smokies is all about.
Fall in the Great Smoky Mountains is truly magnificent. As the weather begins to cool, the leaves start to change from bright green to the rich hues of autumn. Vibrant shades of gold, yellow, orange, and red paint the landscape, creating an awe-inspiring sight. Guests love the Great Smoky Mountains in fall because of the changing of the leaves, the great seasonal foods, the good bluegrass music, and the wonderful weather. On cool fall days, you won’t have to try to beat the heat. A cool breeze will keep you comfortable all day. You can stroll the Parkway while browsing a huge variety of stores, grabbing a bite to eat, catching a show, or playing at one of the many attractions. Even more than what the City of Gatlinburg is today, Gatlinburg also has a rich history, including its deep roots in homegrown foods and mountain music. The Taste of Autumn celebrates all of that.
Gatlinburg’s Taste of Autumn features delicious food, toe-tapping music, and tons of fun for the entire family! Restaurants all across Gatlinburg come out to this great family event and feature some of their best food options. Attendees (for just $25) will be able to enjoy unlimited sampling of the best foods, treats, and drinks that the Smokies have to offer. And with the growth of the wine, whiskey, and moonshine markets in the area, you may even have the chance to get a taste of local drinks!
More than a dozen vendors are always on hand to provide delicious food and drink samples. There is also always great live music, including the soulful sounds of jazz and the toe-tapping beats of bluegrass. Previous participants have included Smoky Mountain Ice Cream & Fudge Co., Sugarland Cellars, Smoky Mountain Winery, Smoky Mountain Brewery, Park Grill Steakhouse, Ober Gatlinburg, Hard Rock Café, Mellow Mushroom, Cherokee Grill, Coca-Cola, The Cheese Steak Factory, Calhoun’s Catering, Calhoun’s, The Fox and Parrot Tavern, Dick’s Last Resort, Climbworks Canopy, and Gigi’s Cupcakes! These are all some favorites of locals and visitors, and each year brings something new!
This family-friendly event is a wonderful way to see what Gatlinburg is all about. You can try some of the best local foods and drinks while listening to some of the best local music. Gatlinburg’s Taste of Autumn is a great break from the hustle and bustle of the busy city streets. Enjoy a fun and relaxing evening sampling the best of Gatlinburg with family and friends.
But the Taste of Autumn is not just a fun event for guests. It also supports a great cause! One hundred percent of the proceeds from the event benefit the United Way of Sevier County. The goal of the United Way of Sevier County is to help improve the lives of those in the community through community involvement and change. Those benefiting from the United Way of Sevier County include the Boys & Girls Club of the Smoky Mountains and Mountain Hope Good Shepherd Clinic.
