2010 Photo Contest Winners

Cabins For You held our second annual photo contest and we’ve picked a winner! There were almost 300 pictures entered. Our staff had a hard time narrowing down the winners because there were so many great entries but our Facebook fans commented and “liked” to help us choose who would walk away with the grand prize. There were so many great pictures we added two prizes to the list of first, second, and third place so that there were 5 total prizes awarded. The First Snow Of The Year

It’s hard to believe it, but it’s true. The first snow has officially fallen in the Smokies. Three inches touched ground on Mt. Leconte on Monday, October 4th. Leconte Lodge staff reported on Highonleconte.com that this was the biggest first snow in over thirty years. On Sunday, temperatures reached a high of 39 degrees and a low of 24 degrees which ushered in the snow the next morning. Gatlinburg hasn’t seen any snow fall in the city, but with peaks on Mt. The 35th annual Gatlinburg Craftsmen Fair will be going on October 7-23, 2010. If you’ve missed the past 34 Fairs then now is the time to make it up!
